Hi, my name is Aharon Orian.

At age 8 when I first discovered the camera along with my dear brother David, I had no idea how far it would one day take me.

It wasn't long before I somehow found myself working on a film set as a child extra. Through sheer chutzpah, or rather youthful naiveté, I approached the director who did double duty as the cameraman and told him "maybe you should film us coming out from behind the tree and slowly expose us." I have no idea what I was thinking! He was a little impatient and muttered, "What do you say – would you like to be my director?" This was probably the first time I had heard the word Director.

From here to there, a little over two decades later, I  had the privilege to write and direct many dozens of commercials, music videos and promotional films for major bodies and leading artists in Israel and around the world. I have written and directed a number of feature films, including "Makom Batuach" ("Safe Place") and "A Letter from Mexico" as well as commercial films in a variety of genres.

As a Chabad Chassid, I grew up on the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, who said that technology is a tool for spreading good and light in the world and that it is my role is to know how to use it in the right and best way.
